LivU is a video chat platform built on a coin economy: a starter balance and a daily check-in top it up for free, and a 1-on-1 video call, along with gifts, filters and other premium extras, draws that balance back down. That is a different question from the usual one in this category, which is almost always about a camera. This page reads LivU's own page for exactly what stays free and what a coin actually buys, then sets it beside a site that runs no currency of any kind - no coins, nothing to purchase, nothing to unlock, ever.
If a coin balance and the extras it unlocks are specifically what someone is after, LivU is built for exactly that, and nothing here argues otherwise. This site runs no currency at all, at any point, for anyone.
Enter any nickname above to begin. Text or voice, no camera, no account, and no coin balance anywhere on this site. 18 and over.
LivU is a video chat platform, and per its own page it has run since 2018. In that time it counts 50M+ registered users and says roughly 4 million new members join every year, drawn from more than 190+ countries. The same page separately claims 500K+ people chatting every day and states that translation runs live inside the chat itself, across 28 languages, so two people who do not share a language are not left pasting text into a separate tool.
That homepage also runs a counter styled people in a call right now, and it is a live figure rather than a fixed one - it changes on every reload, the same way another site's own strangers-online counter does, so no single reading from it is treated as measured here. What stays stable enough to quote is the coin system underneath all of it, which is the actual subject of this page.
Four things on LivU cost nothing, per its own breakdown. Sign-up itself is free. A new account receives starter coins on creation. A daily check-in adds more on top of that, described as included rather than as a bonus tier. And real-time translation, across the 28 languages named above, is stated as free, always - not a trial, not a limited window.
That is a wider free list than a coin economy usually publishes, and it reads as specific enough to be either true or false rather than vague marketing: those four items, named on its own page, and nothing else.
Three things spend a LivU coin, per the same page: a 1-on-1 video chat, gifts sent during a conversation, and filters alongside other premium extras. A new account gets, in its own words, enough coins to try a real conversation before deciding whether to keep going, and Free Coin Events are said to run through the year on top of that starter balance.
What the page does not do is publish a price list. It names what a coin buys, not how many coins any one thing costs, and nothing here fills that gap with a guess. Exact pricing is a question only its own signup flow can answer, not a search result.
LivU's page states five safety claims, each printed here as its own account of the product rather than something measured on this end. Accounts are described as verified, with no bots and no fakes. An AI system is said to scan every chat in real time. A human safety team is described as reviewing flags and reports 24/7. Auto-blur is said to trigger the moment something inappropriate appears on camera. One-tap block and report are offered, and the same page adds that a report is actually followed up on.
Those are five specific, checkable claims. Printing them here is not the same as confirming each one against a live account, and that distinction matters on any site making safety promises, this one included.
LivU's name is attached to two domains in a measured India search for the bare word: livu.me, the one that actually ranks for it, and livuweb.com, a second domain that loaded in full for us on 15 September 2026. Whether the two were one operation was the open question before writing anything here.
livuweb.com answers it on its own page, under a heading asking exactly that: "Web or app? The web version needs no install and supports Apple ID sign-in. The Android app is better if you're chatting daily and want push notifications. Same account, same chat experience, either way." That is the brand describing its own web entry point, not a mirror wearing a similar name.
livuweb.com's own Organization markup goes further still, naming the Play Store listing at com.videochat.livu as itself - the same app package behind the LivU result in the measured India search - a second signal, independent of the quote above, pointing at one brand rather than two.
livu.me's own page did not return usable content on this attempt, so nothing on this page is quoted from it directly. Every coin figure, user count and safety claim here traces to livuweb.com specifically, retrieved 2026-09-15.
Set side by side, the real difference is not camera versus no camera - LivU is far from the only video-first product already covered on this site. It is a balance to manage against nothing to manage at all. Our own count is simpler: no coins, ever, on either side of a chat.
| What's being asked | On LivU | Here |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-up | Required - Gmail, Apple ID, phone or email | None, ever, for anyone |
| Starter balance | Coins included free for a new account | Nothing to balance; no coins exist |
| 1-on-1 video chat | Draws on coins, per its own breakdown | Free, unlimited, text or voice |
| Gifts, filters, extras | Coins | Do not exist here |
| Real-time translation | Free, always, across 28 languages | Not offered; no auto-translation runs here |
| Camera | Central; a video call is the core product | None, ever |
| Account | Yes, one of 4 sign-in methods | None, and no profile of any kind |
| Age floor | 18, confirmed at signup, per its own page | 18 and over, no exceptions |
LivU column read from livuweb.com on 15 September 2026. Nothing here is a third-party account of the product; every claim in that column traces to the page itself.
Run these before opening either site.
Nobody under 18 belongs on either site. LivU states the same floor on its own signup. Our house rules cover what gets someone removed here, and a one-tap report sits inside every chat.
If a conversation drifts somewhere heavier than either platform is built to hold, the crisis page lists people who answer at any hour.
A coin economy shows up in a different shape on what Tinychat's own gifting system does inside a room, and the free-versus-paid line gets the same treatment in the six questions any free chat site has to answer.
Filters cost a different currency, wait time rather than coins, on what a Chatspin filter buys against how long it makes someone wait.
More apps weighed against a browser tab are on our page on stranger chat apps.

Everything above traces back to: LivU's own web-access page, for the coin mechanics, user counts and safety claims quoted above, opened 15 September 2026; livu.me, the domain that ranks for the bare brand name, whose own page returned nothing usable on the same attempt; and the Play Store listing livuweb.com's own schema names as itself, for the shared app package cited above.
