2 unrelated products both use the name Chatzy. chatzy.com, running since 2001, lets you build a private room and invite people you already know. chatzy.ai sells AI customer-service agents to businesses. Neither pairs you with a stranger. This site does exactly that: free text or voice chat with 1 person you have never met, started with only a nickname, above.
If you typed Chatzy looking for either of those 2 real products, this page sorts them first, then explains the 3rd thing the name never covers: a random pairing with somebody new.
Enter any nickname above to begin. No room to create, no one to invite, no account. You are paired with exactly one adult, text or voice, never video.
Its own front page, live since 2001 per its footer copyright, opens on a form: Start A Free Private Chat. Filling it creates a room immediately, for you and people you invite. A second option, Create Virtual Room, is the same idea with more settings, and a Find More Rooms link searches public, topic-based rooms other users have made. The pitch calls it an alternative to Facebook, Yahoo Chat and Skype - 3 named messaging tools, not a stranger-matching site. No registration is required to join a room someone else made, and the front page states plainly there are no popup ads and no Flash dependency.
The product this describes is a room YOU control. You pick who is in it, by inviting them or by sharing a link. That is the opposite of what this site does, which is pick a stranger for you, with no room and no invite list at any point.
The .ai site describes something else again: an AI platform for customer journey automation, deploying agents across WhatsApp, voice, a website and Instagram to handle sales, support and operations for a business. Its pitch, Reply To Every Customer In Under 5 Seconds, and its client list of named companies in tax technology, telecom and fintech, make plain this is B2B software with no connection to the room-building site beyond sharing 6 letters. Neither product is a place to meet a stranger, and the two are not the same company.
The comparison worth making is by what each door assumes about who you already know.
| The question | chatzy.com | Here |
|---|---|---|
| Who is in the room | People you invite, by link or name | 1 stranger, picked at random, nobody invited |
| Room to create | Yes, private or a named virtual room | No rooms exist; every pairing is 1:1 |
| Finding others | A public room search, by topic | No search; the next pairing is chosen for you |
| Account | Optional log in / sign up, not required to join | None, and no profile of any kind |
| Video | Not offered on the pages read here | Never; text or voice only |
| Since | 2001, per its own footer | Not a claim this comparison needs |

Adults only, 18 and over, with no exception. Our house rules cover what is off limits in any pairing here.
If a conversation anywhere turns toward real harm, our crisis help page lists services that answer.
Two more name collisions get the same treatment: what a chato video call actually demands, and what a subi chat search really returns.
For the mechanics of a random pairing itself, see what a skip actually resets and what a room gives you that a pair never will.
Other room services are compared side by side on the chat room page.
